Dr. Chuck Cordova is no stranger to the Reno/Tahoe area. A member of the 1987 South Tahoe High School Nevada State Championship Basketball Team, Dr. Cordova went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California at San Francisco School of Dentistry and his Juris Doctor degree from UNLV School of Law, passing the Nevada state bar exam. While serving as a dentist in the United States Navy, Dr. Cordova participated in a humanitarian mission to Tanzania, providing much needed dental care for the Maasai People in Northern Tanzania. This love for harnessing his dental training and talent to help others is at the core of who Dr. Cordova is; today, he provides pro bono care for patients through many organizations in Nevada including the Adopt-A-Vet Dental Program as a member of the non-profit’s Board of Directors.Dr. Cordova’s patients have described him as warm, caring, and thorough when explaining their dental treatment options. A licensed dentist in Alaska, California and Nevada, Dr. Cordova has extensive training in advanced dental treatments including zygomatic and pterygoid implants for patients with severe bone loss who have been told dental implants are not an option.Dr. Cordova has three children, and enjoys skiing locally (despite a “near amputation” of his lower right leg following a motorcycle accident) whenever he gets the chance.
